Getting started
FFHomeCal must be set up first. Download the FFHomeCal app from the app store as soon as it becomes available.

| * FFHomeCal App ist noch nicht verfügbar. | |
When the app is started for the first time, an application PIN must be defined. You can also choose whether biometric authentication should be used when signing in. The biometric setting can be changed for each user at any time.
IMPORTANT: Keep the application PIN safe. Without the PIN, FFHomeCal must be reinstalled and the FFHomeCal users must be set up again on the device!
Create an ObjectGroup
1. ObjectGroup - Request
If you own one or more objects, first think of a name for your ObjectGroup.
The FFHomeCal backend will show you whether the name is already in use.
The name can later be changed by a user with administrator rights.
E-mail - Confirmation
Creating an ObjectGroup also creates an administrator user.
FFHomeCal needs your e-mail address to send a response code, which must be entered on the mobile device within 10 minutes.
3. FFHomeCal - Review
The FFHomeCal backend may review the ObjectGroup automatically or manually, and this can take up to 24 hours.
When you start FFHomeCal, the app checks whether the FFHomeCal backend has already approved the request.
The app automatically continues with step 4 as soon as approval has been granted.
4. Administrator - Activation
As the final step, the administrator is registered on your device.
In future, access to the created ObjectGroup is allowed only with your device together with your PIN or biometric authentication.
You can activate this administrator user and additional users on other mobile devices (recommended).
Tip: Choose a second administrator in your family to help manage users and objects.
If access is lost because a device was reset or lost, the second administrator can generate a new OTP (one-time password) for your user. The user can then be registered on a second device.
Create objects
![]() | After the first sign-in, no object exists yet. The administrator sees an Add object button on the home page that can be used to create the first object directly. Enter an object name and description. You can also provide an address for each object if desired. Under Settings -> Admin in List objects an administrator can create, edit or delete additional objects. Additional object settings:

If no e-mail address is provided, an OTP button is visible for a short time so that the OTP can be copied and forwarded to the user.
The administrator can also define the role of the new user. Choose Admin, User-RO or User-RW (default).
